I would like to welcome you to the Faculty of Performance, Visual Arts and Communications.
The multi-media and interdisciplinary Faculty consists of four Schools (Design,
Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies,
Music and
Performance and Cultural Industries) and one Institute (Communications Studies).
We have one of the broadest portfolios in the creative arts and technologies of the Russell Group of research-intensive universities. It brings together a diverse mix of approaches to its subject areas, including those from the creative arts and humanities, from the social sciences and from science and technology.
The Faculty promotes excellence in learning and teaching, and its graduates are distinctive both as creative scholars and as reflective practitioners. It aims to provide a world-class postgraduate experience and hosts many internationally-significant research activities including the Centre for Practice-led Research in the Arts.
